The position’s responsibilities include:
Year-round grounds keeping duties
Performs grounds keeping duties, including lawn mowing, trim shrubbery, mulch, weed, edge, and snow removal, and operation of commercial mowers, tractors and other grounds maintenance equipment.
Candidates should have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and previous experience in grounds work.

Current pesticide/herbicide applicator’s license is desired.

Medication Aide / Certified Nurse Aide

Medication Aide / Certified Nurse Aide:  Assisted Living positions available.  Full time, part time, PRN.  Call 540-828-2346 for shift options.

Cook (Full Time)

Cook:  Full Time.  Must be able to cook from recipes, do prep work and have experience with short-order/line cook duties.  Experience in catering and banquet work preferred.  Food must be of high quality, garnished and neatly plated and presented.  Must abide by safety and food sanitation policies at all times.

Server (Maple Terrace)
Server (Maple Terrace) – Greets and takes food orders from residents and guests in a positive, professional manner.  Serves guests and clears tables in appropriate manner.  Refills dining room stock.  Collects money, makes change, or fills out proper billing forms accurately.
Server (Bridgewater Home)

Server (Bridgewater Home) – Some of the responsibilities include:  prepare the dining rooms for meals; take menu orders; serve residents and employees; extend gracious, courteous and tactful service.  Clean dining rooms after every meal.  Practice VDH food safety and sanitation regulations.

CNA’s (Full Time, Part Time and PRN)

Training Opportunity:

Bridgewater Retirement Community (BRC) provides training opportunities at no charge for individuals to earn their certification as a nurse aide, (CNA).

The CNA course is offered to individuals who are eligible for employment and have a desire to work at BRC.

Course length is 120 hours in total, which includes 80 classroom hours, and 40 clinical hours.  Classes are daily 8AM-5PM.

Classroom and clinical instruction are based upon regulations governing certified nurse aides by the Virginia Board of Nursing.

Students who successfully complete all course requirements and demonstrate good standing with attendance and work performance will be offered employment opportunities.

Positions may include full time, part-time and as needed positions.  Teammates work every other weekend and every other holiday.
